Senior Manager – Software Engineering (REF# ME0826)

Role overview A senior engineering leadership opportunity overseeing complex software development initiatives that power high-volume financial operations, including payments, AML monitoring, sanction screening, and foreign exchange. The role spans multiple development streams covering web services, partner framework integrations, and middleware, with responsibility for modernizing core transaction systems. This is a fully remote position based anywhere in the U.S., reporting into a global engineering organization.

Responsibilities - Manage and coordinate multiple development efforts, setting project objectives, technical policies, roadmaps, and work plans while delegating across project members. - Direct sprint-based Agile teams through planning, prioritization, and delivery of features aligned to project and organizational goals. - Lead architecture, system requirements, and technical design activities, including modernization of transaction monitoring and sanction screening platforms. - Design and implement standardized models and procedures for high-volume payment, AML, and FX operations. - Contribute across the full software lifecycle, from requirement analysis and design through coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance for web applications and middleware. - Define database retrieval strategies and develop migration plans to support system upgrades and integrations.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field plus 8 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a Master's degree plus 6 years of experience. - Hands-on experience with project planning tools such as Smartsheet. - Database design experience with SQL and NoSQL, including SQL Server and Oracle. - Proficiency with C# and .NET Core, plus ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or Talend. - Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools such as Business Objects, QlikView, and SSRS. - Experience with test-driven development, CI/CD practices, code versioning (GIT or SVN), and SDLC tools like Jira and Confluence, along with Waterfall, Scrum, and Agile methodologies.
