Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Role overview Build and improve business intelligence products that turn complex data into clear, dependable insights for decision-makers. You’ll work with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to translate reporting needs into dashboards, analytical datasets and reusable solutions, while supporting broader self-service BI adoption.

Responsibilities - Design, develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical solutions using Power BI. - Create interactive visualisations, measures and business indicators using DAX and Power Query. - Develop and optimise SQL for analysis and reporting, including work with Databricks. - Gather requirements with business teams and translate them into practical technical designs. - Define KPIs and metrics, and improve the performance, usability, consistency and accessibility of reporting. - Collaborate with data engineering, present findings to technical and business audiences, and contribute to Agile delivery and reporting automation.

Requirements - At least five years of relevant experience in BI, data analytics, reporting development or a related field. - Advanced hands-on Power BI experience. - Strong DAX, Power Query and data modelling skills. - Advanced SQL skills, including query development and optimisation. - Experience using Databricks for SQL-based analytics and reporting. - Ability to design business-facing dashboards and apply sound data visualisation principles.

Benefits and work setup This is a full-time, fully remote position for candidates based in Portugal. The stated gross annual salary range is €36,000–€41,000.
