About this role
Role overview Protect publishers and platform partners from malicious or disruptive advertising by investigating reports, resolving live incidents, and helping customers keep their ad integrations working. This is a hands-on support role that combines technical troubleshooting, careful review of ad content, and clear communication during time-sensitive escalations.
Responsibilities - Triage reports of harmful or prohibited ads, coordinate complex investigations with security specialists, and keep partners informed as incidents are resolved. - Review flagged creatives, make consistent blocking decisions, and investigate disputes involving incorrect classifications or missed content. - Reproduce ad behavior across browsers, devices, regions, and environments; trace redirects and explain the likely cause of an issue. - Verify scripts and troubleshoot integrations across display, video, and in-app formats, including wrapper, header-bidding, and API configurations. - Investigate impression or monitoring discrepancies, prepare ad hoc reports, and share recurring customer issues with product teams. - Provide technical guidance to customer-facing colleagues and explain findings to nontechnical contacts.
Requirements - At least three years in support engineering, technical support, or a security operations or trust and safety role. - Experience in ad operations or a related advertising technology environment. - Ability to read and debug JavaScript and ad markup, and investigate redirect chains and creative behavior. - Practical experience with browser and network troubleshooting tools, including developer tools and HAR or waterfall analysis. - Ability to prioritize a busy queue, handle urgent escalations calmly, and communicate clearly during active incidents. - Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and investigative judgment.
Nice to have - Familiarity with major ad servers, programmatic advertising, or the supply-side and demand-side platform ecosystem. - Experience with Python or PHP scripting, regular expressions, SQL, or reporting dashboards. - Hands-on debugging of header bidding, video ads, or in-app ad SDKs. - Knowledge of malware, phishing, cloaking, or other trust and safety issues.
