Engineer, Security Operations & Engineering

Role overview Senior engineer on a security operations and engineering team responsible for designing, building, and running the systems that protect data, infrastructure, and customers. The position combines deep technical work with automation, partnering across the business to embed zero-trust principles and strengthen detection and response capabilities.

Responsibilities - Architect and implement secure cloud designs that apply zero-trust principles and identity-based access controls - Run threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to surface and remediate risk - Lead incident response, applying threat intelligence to contain and prevent attacks - Maintain alignment with global security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, CIS, OWASP, SOC 2, and CSA - Supply documentation and evidence for internal and external security audits

Requirements - 5+ years in information security, security engineering, or a closely related technical discipline - Solid grasp of CI/CD workflows and infrastructure-as-code practices - Hands-on experience securing AWS, GCP, or Azure environments - Working knowledge of SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response tooling - Strong foundation in network and application security, identity and access management, and encryption - Familiarity with data analysis or data science tooling such as SQL and Python - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or equivalent practical background - US citizenship and current US residence, with no visa sponsorship available
