An engineering-focused software company is hiring a Motion Designer to bring its AI-driven design platform to life through product animations and motion-driven video content. The position blends high-polish brand storytelling with high-velocity social clips, translating complex multi-step engineering workflows into clear, visually engaging narratives.
Responsibilities
- Convert finalized storyboards and scripts into polished product marketing animations and explainer videos - Collaborate with marketing, product marketing, and design leads to review, challenge, and refine creative direction - Simulate UI interactions and craft motion sequences that make technical workflows easier to understand - Deliver short-form social and demand-gen clips (roughly 30–60 seconds) on a recurring publishing cadence - Produce distinctive brand-centric videos that reinforce a consistent visual identity across channels - Curate audio, voiceover, and music to balance tone, pacing, and storytelling impact - Run productions end-to-end on a fast, iterative schedule with minimal oversight
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in motion design, animation, or multimedia production, ideally within B2B SaaS - Advanced proficiency in After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator - Familiarity with Figma, Blender, and screen-recording software - A portfolio demonstrating product explainers, UI animations, and highly polished brand video work - Ability to translate intricate technical concepts into clear, visually compelling formats - Strong instincts for audio design, balancing music, voiceover, and sound to elevate each piece
Nice to have
- Experience with 3D animation, Lottie, or engineering-related software
