About this role
Role overview A Data Engineer is needed for a project with a global leader in advanced energy storage that produces automotive batteries. The work centers on consolidating existing SMS and email prototypes into a single production-ready solution with a scheduling, configuration, monitoring, and logging interface, built primarily with Power Apps and integrated with Snowflake and existing Python and SQL logic.
Responsibilities - Migrate the current messaging solution from Python into Power Apps while enhancing and optimizing the SMS capability. - Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of the consolidated solution. - Implement and support global file upload functionality for regulatory datasets. - Design and develop API endpoints supporting generic customer integrations. - Serve as the primary point of contact for the client on delivery. - Apply security best practices around encryption, secure data handling, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements - 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer. - Hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake. - Experience working with high-load systems and data processing optimization. - Strong understanding of Microsoft Power Apps for UI development, workflow implementation, and SharePoint integrations. - Experience with Azure Functions for building API endpoints and running compute-intensive processing. - Working knowledge of Python scripting. - Self-motivated and able to operate effectively with minimal guidance in a dynamic environment. - Comfortable working in Agile or iterative delivery teams. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
