About this role

Role overview A discovery-phase Business Analyst role supporting the evaluation and redesign of a member management platform for a multi-location fitness operator. The work spans stakeholder research, operational workflow mapping, and MVP scoping, translating findings into structured documentation that guides downstream delivery. It is a hybrid analysis and facilitation position embedded in a consulting engagement with operational breadth across clubs, members, and corporate functions.

Responsibilities - Run structured interviews with operations staff, club managers, power users, and subject matter experts to surface workflows, needs, and pain points. - Coordinate field research activities inside clubs to capture on-the-ground processes and gaps between documented and actual operations. - Build a module-by-module feature inventory of the current platform, classifying items as MVP, post-MVP, removable, or off-the-shelf. - Document business rules, workflows, and requirements across members, scheduling, billing and subscriptions, personal training, check-in and access control, POS, child care, and corporate operations. - Facilitate MVP scoping sessions, define in-scope and out-of-scope items, and help guard against scope creep. - Map feature dependencies and contribute inputs for roadmap planning, operational cost estimates, ROI modeling, and delivery approach. - Maintain a bridge between stakeholders and delivery teams through regular business-facing meetings and clear written communication.

Requirements - At least four years of experience as a Business Analyst. - Demonstrated ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and convert operational workflows into structured documentation. - Strong skills in documenting business rules, scope decisions, and feature dependencies. - Experience evaluating software platforms and prioritizing features across MVP and post-MVP buckets. - Workshop facilitation skills, including the ability to drive scoping discussions and support business decision-making. - Comfort working with GitHub and Markdown-based documentation, plus strong written and verbal communication. - English at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have - Familiarity with subscription-based membership businesses, fitness operations, or multi-location retail environments.

Benefits and work setup - Technical and non-technical training opportunities. - Internal conferences and meetups with industry practitioners. - Mentorship from experienced team members. - Health insurance coverage. - Sports activities promoting a healthy lifestyle. - Flexible work options including remote and hybrid arrangements. - Employee referral program and a work anniversary program with additional vacation days.
