Senior Software Engineer with Python

Role overview Build backend software for a network security management product that helps customers convert and onboard existing security configurations. The work spans product engineering and automation: you’ll develop reusable software and libraries while making complex migration workflows predictable and manageable for customers. You’ll work with software engineers and network security specialists on a distributed, fully remote team where AI tools are part of the day-to-day workflow.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain the product and its supporting libraries. - Create self-service workflows with clear errors and predictable steps that customers can complete independently. - Decide which capabilities should be shared across use cases and which should remain specific. - Lead technical implementation and contribute to architecture and product quality. - Balance customer needs with the product backlog in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements - Strong Python experience, including production software development. - Experience with configuration conversion or parsing, such as parsers, intermediate representations, or schema-driven approaches. - Daily use of Pydantic and strict static typing, such as mypy or an equivalent tool. - CI/CD experience and a focus on maintainable, high-quality software. - Ability to turn business and customer problems into technical solutions. - Very good spoken and written English, ideally at C1 level.

Nice to have Experience with workflow engines such as Temporal; Docker or Kubernetes; SQLAlchemy or other ORM-based modeling; migration, import, or ETL tools; asynchronous Python; large-scale XML or grammar-based parsing; Go; observability tools; modern Python packaging; or core networking concepts.
