Responsibilities

- Build, enhance, and maintain features across an application management and loan repayment platform, contributing to both frontend and backend systems. - Develop accessible user experiences for students and administrators, and reliable APIs for internal and external partners. - Improve the codebase over time by strengthening clarity, reliability, documentation, and overall developer experience. - Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into well-designed, maintainable solutions. - Write high-quality, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to system reliability, performance, and bug reduction. - Participate in a DevOps culture by owning services through deployment, supporting production stability, and joining on-call rotations as needed.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years of professional experience building web applications in production, ideally in a startup or fast-paced product environment. - Hands-on experience contributing to full-stack systems including frontend, backend, and basic cloud infrastructure. - Comfort working with modern CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. - Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar), plus SQL with PostgreSQL preferred. - Familiarity with HTML, CSS, responsive design, Figma handoffs, and AWS or Google Cloud.

- Exposure to regulated or compliance-sensitive environments such as fintech, healthcare, or education. - Basic cloud and container tooling experience.
