Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, Discover

Role overview A fully remote organization is hiring a senior full-stack engineer to grow and refine its curated digital marketplace for discovering and purchasing communities, courses, memberships, and related digital experiences. The role focuses on shaping how people explore and join these experiences, with a heavy emphasis on intuitive, performant, and elegant interfaces at scale. The team values autonomy, fast iteration, and asynchronous collaboration across time zones.

Responsibilities - Build polished, high-converting purchasing flows that help members find digital experiences and enable sellers to scale their offerings. - Design, run, and analyze A/B tests and experiments aimed at improving acquisition, retention, and conversion behavior. - Implement features across a Next.js frontend and a Ruby on Rails backend, including API endpoints and data services. - Contribute to data pipelines and services powering search, recommendations, and personalization. - Proactively raise the bar on codebase quality, engineering processes, and architecture. - Partner closely with design and leadership throughout the feature design process.

Requirements - Strong proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Ruby on Rails, and MySQL or PostgreSQL, with deeper expertise on the frontend. - Track record of shipping features end-to-end across frontend and backend in a production environment. - Comfort working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous setting and picking up new tools as projects require. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 / ILR Level 5). - Experience working on a fully distributed remote team. - A mindset that values iteration speed, individual autonomy, and collaborative accountability.

Nice to have - Prior experience with creator platforms, social feeds, video content, or marketplace products. - Hands-on work with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks in consumer-facing applications. - Exposure to search, recommendation, or personalization systems at scale. - Production experience with Next.js and hybrid React/Next.js architectures for high-traffic products.
