Remote job
Full-Stack Growth Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A full-stack engineer focused on building the acquisition, activation, and onboarding surfaces of a consumer health membership product. The role spans web and backend work that drives signups, plan selection, and early engagement, partnering closely with product, design, data, and marketing on a small senior team. It is a hands-on position combining system design, production coding, and experiment-driven iteration rather than one-off hacks.
Responsibilities
- Build and iterate the landing experiences, checkout, plan selection, and signup flows that turn interest into membership, with funnel instrumentation to surface drop-offs. - Reduce friction in account creation, login, and first-session activation so new members reach coaching quickly and understand their Day 1 value. - Design, ship, and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments across the funnel, partnering with data on metrics, guardrails, and experiment hygiene. - Implement features across APIs, services, web UI, and the glue between growth surfaces and the core product, prioritizing clear ownership and fast iteration. - Instrument funnels, cohorts, and activation milestones, using quantitative and qualitative signal to prioritize work and explain why experiments won or lost. - Keep conversion-critical journeys fast, stable, and observable, treating them with the same engineering rigor as core product, and use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate delivery while validating their output.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful ownership of consumer growth, acquisition, activation, or conversion surfaces. - Strong full-stack skills across modern web UI and backend services, able to ship an experiment end to end without waiting on another team for every layer. - Hands-on experience running growth experiments in production, including A/B and multivariate testing, funnel instrumentation, and iteration based on measured outcomes rather than vibes. - Understanding of customer journeys, segments, touchpoints, dropoff analysis, and how product changes move activation and retention metrics. - Ability to debug across web UI, networking, backend services, analytics pipelines, and CI, plus a habit of writing clear, maintainable code with attention to experiment integrity and observability. - Track record partnering with product, design, and data (or marketing) to take ambiguous growth problems from hypothesis to shipped learning, and comfort using AI-assisted coding tools with proper verification.
Nice to have
- Experience with subscription, marketplace, or membership products where acquisition and activation were central to the business. - Familiarity with HIPAA and other regulations applying to health products and services. - Background with paid acquisition landing systems, attribution, SEO or organic surfaces, lifecycle messaging, or referral loops. - Experience building or evolving experimentation platforms, feature flags, or analytics instrumentation at scale. - Work on fitness, health, coaching, or other personalized consumer products. - Prior exposure to expert tooling, internal operator workflows, or coach-facing surfaces.
Benefits and work setup
- Base salary range of $200,000-$230,000 per year plus meaningful equity. - Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, plus tax-advantaged savings accounts. - 401(k) plan and flexible paid time off. - Free membership to the company's health platform. - Monthly wellness stipend covering fitness, recovery, and mental health resources, plus therapy support, and reimbursement for medical travel. - Annual learning and development budget. - Fully remote within the continental US, with no travel required.
