Role overview Join the CMS Platform team as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer focused on the systems that let creators compose and publish content on a white-label, all-in-one platform for creators, educators, and digital businesses. You'll work end-to-end on a drag-and-drop Page Builder and editor, shaping both the customer-facing experience and the underlying content models, rendering pipelines, and permissions. The team also lays groundwork for AI-first authoring interfaces, making this a role for someone who enjoys turning ambitious product ideas into polished, scalable systems.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and ship Page Builder features that shape how customers design and publish their sites - Work across the stack using React and TypeScript on the frontend and Ruby on Rails on the backend - Partner closely with product and design to translate specs into high-quality, user-friendly experiences - Improve the architecture of the builder, editor, and publishing pipeline for reliability, extensibility, and performance - Own projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration - Review pull requests thoughtfully and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement
Requirements - 5+ years of experience building and scaling SaaS products - Deep experience with Ruby on Rails and strong proficiency with React and TypeScript - A product mindset, with care for the "why," attention to UX details, and willingness to iterate based on customer needs - Experience building complex, stateful UI such as editors, builders, or design tools, and/or the backend systems that power them - Solid architectural judgment with a high bar for quality, balanced with pragmatism - Comfort working with and alongside AI tools in the development workflow - Excellent async written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have - Experience working on site builders, page editors, or CMS platforms - Familiarity with rich text or content editing, drag-and-drop interactions, component systems, or design tooling - Knowledge of web performance, caching strategies, and scaling high-traffic rendering or publishing systems - Prior experience at an early-stage or growth-stage startup - Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities
