About this role
Role overview A director-level position responsible for owning the internal technology stack and business enablement function for a global organization. The role leads IT infrastructure, endpoint lifecycle management, SaaS tooling, and the strategy for embedding AI capabilities across internal workflows, balancing availability with usability without slowing the business down. The successful candidate partners closely with finance, engineering, and employees across every team to ensure tools are fast, reliable, and easy to use.
Responsibilities - Lead, hire, and develop the IT team, scaling systems that support a globally distributed workforce - Oversee end-to-end internal technology needs, including new-hire equipment, onboarding, and productivity tooling - Manage the complete endpoint lifecycle: provisioning, application deployment, patching, and asset retirement - Administer identity and access systems that govern corporate applications and infrastructure - Drive AI adoption across internal tools by identifying high-leverage opportunities, leading integrations, and continuously optimizing AI usage for effectiveness and ROI - Partner with finance on software and hardware budget planning, vendor selection, and utilization reviews - Build documentation, support workflows, and internal training programs to drive consistent tool adoption
Requirements - 10+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or technology operations, including 5+ years leading a team - Proven experience owning endpoint lifecycle management at scale, ideally supporting fully or hybrid-remote workforces - Hands-on experience administering modern SaaS stacks (identity and access management, MDM, collaboration tools) and making build-versus-buy or consolidate-versus-expand decisions - Demonstrated track record of integrating AI tools into business workflows, such as rolling out AI-powered support tools or automating workflows across a team or company - Experience managing software and hardware budgets and translating technical decisions into cost and ROI terms for finance and leadership - Strong cross-functional communication, with the ability to act as a translator between engineering, finance, and non-technical employees
Nice to have - Background building documentation, processes, and support systems from scratch - Experience mentoring IT staff in fast-changing environments
Benefits and work setup For high cost-of-living US locations, the expected base salary range is $200,000–$230,000 USD; for other US locations it is $180,000–$220,000 USD, in each case plus bonus eligibility and equity.
