Role overview
A senior engineering position centered on .NET application work inside a customer-facing cloud consulting practice. The role blends hands-on modernization of legacy .NET systems with newer cloud-native and AI-enabled solutions, working alongside architects, project managers, and sales counterparts to deliver outcomes for a varied client base. Over time, scope extends beyond .NET into additional languages, frameworks, and AWS-centric architectures.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to production-grade client solutions, beginning with modernization projects rooted in legacy and modern .NET stacks. - Partner with lead architects on requirements review, technical decisions, and the delivery of working software. - Join discovery sessions to capture customer requirements and translate them into implementable work. - Build, automate, and refine AI-driven testing at multiple levels. - Collaborate across engineering, architecture, project management, and leadership to deliver client value. - Broaden exposure to additional languages, frameworks, AWS services, and AI technologies as engagements evolve.
Requirements
- Deep expertise across the .NET ecosystem with senior-level C# proficiency. - Hands-on experience with legacy .NET Framework (around v4.6–v4.8) plus modern .NET Core or .NET 8–10. - Practical work on ASP.NET WebForms to Blazor migrations, IIS to Linux porting, and Windows Services containerized into Docker or ECS. - SQL Server proficiency, including NuGet incompatibility remediation and MSMQ-to-RabbitMQ migration familiarity. - Familiarity with core AWS services such as ECS, EC2, RDS for SQL Server, Amazon MQ, S3, and CloudWatch. - Comfort working on customer-facing engagements with strong communication and collaboration habits.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of additional languages or frameworks such as Python, Node.js, React, or TypeScript. - Exposure to LLMs, GenAI, agentic platforms, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices. - Background using AI tooling both for personal productivity and within client deliverables. - UX or UI experience applied to software products.
