Role overview
A mid-level full-stack engineering role on a product development team supporting mortgage lending workflows for attainable housing. The position spans responsive Angular front ends and .NET Core back ends, with a strong emphasis on clean architecture, GraphQL APIs, and the thoughtful use of AI-assisted development tooling. Engineers work closely with senior staff, product, design, and QA partners in a remote setup.
Responsibilities
- Build accessible, responsive interfaces in Angular and TypeScript that follow established frontend patterns. - Develop full-stack features with .NET Core and C# on the server side integrated with Angular on the client side. - Implement backend functionality using CQRS, MediatR, and Onion Architecture patterns. - Create and consume GraphQL APIs, including schema design, resolvers, and efficient client data access. - Apply AI-assisted development tools to coding, debugging, test generation, documentation, and refactoring, while validating outputs critically. - Write clean, testable, maintainable code following SOLID principles, with unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage.
Requirements
- Three to five years of professional full-stack software engineering experience. - Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript for frontend development. - Strong .NET Core and C# experience for backend application work. - Working knowledge of CQRS, MediatR, Onion Architecture, or comparable clean architecture patterns. - Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, schemas, and basic performance tuning. - Hands-on experience with GraphQL APIs on either the client or server side. - Proficiency with GitHub for source control and collaborative workflows, plus familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
Nice to have
- Mortgage industry background in loan originations, servicing, or related financial workflows. - Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, data privacy, or audit considerations in financial services. - Use of AI tools to generate test cases, improve documentation, analyze legacy code, or support refactoring. - Exposure to secure coding practices and responsible AI use in enterprise development.
