Software Engineer (Next.js / React)

Role overview A firm that supports accounting and finance teams with offshore and onshore talent is hiring a dedicated Software Engineer to own a customer-facing portal that is core to how the business runs. The engineer will work directly with the CEO and a web developer, making technical decisions and shipping features end to end. It is a long-term, exclusive, full-time engagement rather than a freelance ticket queue.

Responsibilities - Own the portal end to end, including the codebase and the direction the product takes. - Build and release new features in close collaboration with the CEO and web developer. - Improve and refine the existing portal so it continues to grow stronger over time. - Make the technical choices that shape the product and explain them clearly to leadership. - Work directly with the CEO on priorities and product direction, with no layers of management in between.

Requirements - Strong, hands-on experience with Next.js and React, with a track record of owning projects rather than only contributing to them. - Daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar as part of how you build. - Fluent English, written and spoken. - Full working-hours overlap with U.S. Eastern or Central time. - Availability for exclusive, full-time work with no concurrent clients or contracts. - Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
