About this role
Role overview Own release, change, and transport management for a large greenfield SAP S/4HANA financial modernization program with multiple delivery streams and system environments. You will coordinate safe, traceable promotions across the landscape and lead cutover and go-live execution for each deployment wave while maintaining controls needed for system authorization.
Responsibilities - Set the release strategy and calendar across development, QA, staging, training, and production environments. - Design transport routes and sequencing, manage dependencies, and resolve conflicts and overtakes. - Run change control workflows, approval gates, change advisory board processes, emergency procedures, and freeze windows. - Ensure each production change has testing, defect closure, documentation, and traceability from requirement through delivery. - Lead cutover planning and execution, including rehearsals, go/no-go criteria, command center operations, and rollback plans. - Coordinate with security and platform operations, integrate release gates with DevSecOps automation, report release measures, and transition operations to sustainment.
Requirements - At least eight years of SAP experience, including substantial release, change, transport, or deployment management work. - Hands-on expertise with SAP transport management, multi-system landscape design, dependencies, and conflict management. - Experience with SAP ChaRM, SAP Cloud ALM, or a comparable enterprise change management platform. - Led enterprise cutover and go-live activities, including rehearsals, decision support, and hypercare. - Experience operating a formal change advisory board and enforcing documented approvals and separation of duties. - Experience integrating release practices with DevSecOps toolchains and automated testing; must meet DoDM 8140.03 IAT Level II baseline certification requirements, such as Security+ CE, before privileged production access.
Nice to have - Experience managing dual maintenance and retrofit during parallel legacy and target-state operations, and delivering with SAP Activate using fit-to-standard and clean-core principles.
Benefits and work setup The role is contingent on contract award and may require travel to client sites up to 50%. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k), bonus opportunities, paid holidays, and paid time off.
