Role overview
Support production for a large-scale interactive entertainment project as a contract Producer. The role partners with creative, technical, and production leaders to establish achievable plans, coordinate execution, manage risks and dependencies, improve visibility, and help teams deliver high-quality player experiences on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Drive production for an assigned team, keeping goals, scope, schedules, milestones, and deliverables clear. - Build and maintain production plans, backlogs, status reporting, staffing assumptions, and milestone commitments. - Facilitate planning meetings, reviews, team rituals, decision-making, and cross-functional communication. - Track progress, identify blockers and dependencies, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues requiring leadership alignment. - Maintain an accurate plan of record covering decisions, changes, tradeoffs, risks, and areas of concern. - Improve workflows through practical process changes, automation, systemization, and centralized information.
Requirements
- Professional experience in game production, project management, or a comparable role supporting complex creative and technical work. - Experience working with multidisciplinary teams such as design, engineering, art, testing, research, or other creative and technical functions. - Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to simplify ambiguity. - Sound judgment, empathy, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust without formal authority. - Ability to manage competing priorities, remain composed under pressure, and work independently. - Experience with project-management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or comparable platforms, plus the ability to follow confidentiality and information-security requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience producing AAA games or other large-scale interactive entertainment products. - Completion of a full game-development cycle or multiple complex production cycles. - Background with multiplayer, live-service, extraction, survival, or systems-driven games. - Familiarity with complex content pipelines, external partners, vendors, distributed development, and advanced Jira reporting.
