UX Designer, AI App
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Lead the user experience for a consumer app that uses AI to help people communicate, coordinate and complete everyday tasks. You will design end-to-end experiences across mobile and web, making it clear what the AI is doing, where a person can guide it and how they can recover when a task stalls or fails.
Responsibilities - Own core app experiences across iOS, Android and web, from initial intent capture through task completion. - Design handoffs, progress updates, confirmations and recovery paths for AI-assisted tasks. - Map the states users encounter, including loading, waiting, acting, completion, failure and recovery. - Make AI decisions and activity understandable, with clear opportunities for users to confirm or adjust them. - Work with product, engineering and machine learning partners to turn user needs into implementable designs. - Conduct usability research and use findings to improve trust, clarity and engagement; produce flows, wireframes and high-fidelity designs and contribute shared patterns.
Requirements - Experience designing consumer mobile or web products, with a strong portfolio. - Strong user-flow, wireframing and high-fidelity prototyping skills, including experience with Figma. - Ability to design for systems that act asynchronously and may produce different results depending on context. - Good judgment about user control, feedback, transparency, edge cases and failure handling in AI experiences. - Experience conducting user research and translating findings into design decisions. - Comfort working independently in a fast-moving team with evolving product scope.
