About this role
Role overview Shape how people interact with AI in everyday product workflows, designing interfaces that make multi-step systems understandable, steerable, and trustworthy. You’ll take ideas from early exploration through shipped experiences across web and mobile, working closely with product, engineering, and machine learning teammates.
Responsibilities - Design end-to-end experiences for AI features, from user flows and prototypes to polished interfaces. - Create interaction patterns for prompting, reviewing results, confirming actions, correcting errors, handing off work, and recovering from failures. - Show users what the AI is doing, what information it has, where it is uncertain, and what will happen next. - Make complex AI capabilities clear and manageable in common use cases. - Collaborate with product, engineering, and ML teams to define problems, test concepts, and ship improvements. - Conduct lightweight research and usability testing, then help establish reusable interaction patterns.
Requirements - Product or UX design experience, supported by a portfolio of web or mobile work. - Strong interaction design, information hierarchy, and prototyping skills. - Proficiency with Figma and rapid design iteration. - Ability to clarify complex or ambiguous product behavior and turn it into usable experiences. - Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers in fast-moving teams. - Sound judgment around usability, edge cases, failure handling, and user trust and control in AI experiences.
Benefits and work setup The team describes a hands-on, collaborative environment that values independent execution, sound judgment, quick learning, and shipping quality work. Applicants for design roles should provide a portfolio; the process may include two interviews and a design assessment, conducted virtually and/or onsite.
