Frontend Engineer

Role overview Build the web experiences for a suite of communication and productivity tools, including chat, notes, calendar, documents, and spreadsheets. You’ll own complex interactive features from technical design through release, working with product, design, backend, and AI colleagues to make AI part of users’ everyday workflows.

Responsibilities - Develop core web product areas for communication, writing, scheduling, and organizing work. - Build interactive features such as real-time messaging, collaborative editing, rich-text documents, calendars, tables, and spreadsheets. - Create reusable frontend architecture and components across product areas. - Integrate streaming AI responses and proactive, model-driven actions into existing workflows. - Maintain performance, responsiveness, reliability, and accessibility across browsers and devices. - Work with product and design to take ideas from prototype to production.

Requirements - Strong experience delivering complex production web applications with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tools. - Deep understanding of frontend architecture, state management, browser APIs, and performance. - Experience with interactive products such as chat, collaboration tools, productivity software, document editors, or calendars. - Familiarity with real-time systems, WebSockets, streaming APIs, or collaborative interfaces. - Good product and interface judgment, with care for interaction details. - Ability to independently own features from design through production.

Nice to have - Familiarity with technologies used in the role, including Next.js, HTML/CSS, Node.js, and REST or GraphQL APIs.
