Role overview
Build the server-side services and data layer for a focused web project. You’ll shape reliable APIs and application data, with attention to security, correctness, and performance, and work closely with front-end engineering to deliver a production-ready result on a short timeline.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain APIs, backend services, and data models. - Write tested, clear, and maintainable server-side code. - Protect data integrity and implement authentication and authorization. - Work with front-end engineers to agree on dependable API contracts. - Document and deliver production-ready work within the project schedule.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience shipping reliable production back-end systems. - Proficiency in a server-side language such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java. - Database experience, including schema design and query optimization for relational or NoSQL systems. - Knowledge of REST or GraphQL API design, authentication, and security practices. - Familiarity with testing, CI/CD, and cloud deployment. - Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results on a short schedule.
