Product Designer II, Agent Experience
Job details
About this role
Role overview A product designer is needed to shape professional-facing experiences for insurance agents, wholesalers, and distribution partners. The work focuses on quote, illustration, and policy initiation flows used by industry professionals who can route business to competing tools if experiences fall short. This is a prototype-first design role that blends research, design execution, and close collaboration with engineering in a high-ambiguity environment where requirements often shift mid-flight.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end design for initiatives spanning quoting, illustration, application pre-fill, case status, and back-office workflows - Lead discovery before requirements are finalized, helping define the problem and test direction with evidence rather than waiting for a finished PRD - Build prototypes in Figma and in code, often in shared repositories alongside engineering, using AI tooling to accelerate iteration without sacrificing judgment - Operate within an architectural direction set by senior design leadership while owning meaningful surface-level design decisions - Partner with engineering, product, and external distribution stakeholders to ensure design quality meets partner-facing expectations - Present work confidently and defend design decisions in cross-functional and live partner settings
Requirements - Demonstrated product design experience with end-to-end ownership of shipped initiatives - Strong research instincts paired with the ability to shape and ship ideas quickly - Comfort working in Figma and building coded prototypes alongside engineers - Experience contributing to or working within design systems and component libraries - Comfortable using qualitative and quantitative inputs to inform design decisions - Ability to operate under ambiguity and make progress with incomplete information - Excellent communication and a track record of productive cross-functional partnership - Comfortable giving and receiving critique and treating senior partners as leverage rather than oversight
Nice to have - Experience designing for professional or agent-facing channels such as brokerage, wealth, distribution, or marketplace supply side - Background designing experiences that span two companies' brands - Familiarity with quoting, pricing, illustration, or configurator interfaces - Experience with agentic or multi-step AI workflows in design or product exploration - Familiarity with design-system-to-code pipelines from Figma to production components
Benefits and work setup - Competitive salary and equity based on role - Policies and managers that support work-life balance, including flexible paid time off and parental leave - 100% paid-premium option for medical, dental, and vision insurance - Lifestyle stipend to support physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing - Flexible remote work-from-home policy with access to a state-of-the-art office for those who prefer it - Employee-led diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives - Remote (US)
