Role overview
Build cross-platform mobile apps that help patients and clinical trial participants use wearable sensors and complete at-home or clinical workflows. You’ll lead product development across iOS and Android, with responsibility for usability, performance, reliability, and the integration of device capabilities.
Responsibilities - Lead development of React Native applications for iOS and Android. - Design workflows for clinical trial participants and patients completing at-home assessments. - Own the performance, reliability, and monitoring of features, using feedback from users in varied settings. - Integrate device functions in partnership with engineers maintaining native iOS and Android BLE software. - Collaborate with device and platform teams and product designers on connected mobile features. - Help set the mobile platform’s technical direction and priorities.
Requirements - At least eight years of mobile development experience, including shipping and maintaining production React Native apps on both iOS and Android. - Strong TypeScript skills and familiarity with React Native, Expo, and GitHub. - Experience with application state management, offline data handling, and app store releases. - A product-focused approach to user experience, performance, and edge cases. - Strong communication skills and comfort working asynchronously with a collaborative team.
Nice to have
Experience integrating BLE devices, sensors, or health data; writing native Swift or Kotlin code or React Native modules; working with medical devices, EEG, wearables, clinical trials, patients, or regulated products; or contributing to open-source mobile projects.
Benefits and work setup
Remote work is supported; candidates must be based in the U.S. Eastern time zone. In-person office hubs are available. The stated salary range is $150,000–$190,000, with equity, paid time off, and other benefits included in the overall compensation package.
