About this role
Role overview This Product Manager role leads strategy, execution, and growth for a computer backup product spanning both individual consumers and business customers. The position owns the roadmap for desktop backup clients, related web experiences, and administrative tools, sitting within a small, focused team where hands-on contribution is expected. Success requires sharp product instincts, data-informed decision making, and the ability to align cross-functional partners through influence and clear conviction.
Responsibilities - Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, defining vision and roadmap, leading discovery, and delivering features from concept through launch - Run customer and market research, including interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis, to surface needs and shape strategy - Translate insights and complex problems into clear product requirements, PRDs, and measurable success criteria - Make difficult tradeoff decisions using data-driven analysis that weighs user priorities against technical constraints - Define, track, and analyze key product metrics to guide iteration and continuous improvement - Partner with Engineering, Design, QA, Marketing, Sales, and Support to ship high-quality features and drive adoption
Requirements - 4+ years of product management experience in SaaS, consumer software, or cloud services - Ownership-first mindset with the ability to take initiative, move quickly, and operate through ambiguity - Strong communication skills across audiences, from customers to senior stakeholders - Proven success owning roadmaps, defining MVPs, and driving the full product lifecycle - Strong analytical and prioritization skills that separate must-haves from nice-to-haves - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Experience working in agile environments with tools such as Jira
Nice to have - Background in backup, security, or storage products - Familiarity with SMB workflows, MSP ecosystems, or B2B2C product design - Technical fluency with APIs, desktop applications, and cloud services
