About this role
Role overview
A senior leadership position responsible for owning the technical vision, architecture, and day-to-day operations of an organization's enterprise systems landscape. The scope spans commercial, financial, and go-to-market technology platforms, as well as the governed infrastructure that enables AI agents and automated workflows to operate safely at scale. The role blends hands-on architecture work with cross-functional leadership, partnering closely with revenue, security, and finance organizations to deliver velocity while maintaining audit readiness in a public-company environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise systems architecture roadmap across CRM, ERP, support, data warehouse, and adjacent platforms, including reference architectures for integrations, data exchange, and AI agent workloads. - Produce and govern formal architecture artifacts such as system topology maps, data flow diagrams, integration inventories, and architecture decision records, and chair an architecture review board for material system changes. - Lead the design of integration patterns—event-driven, API-first, and middleware-based—across Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, Snowflake, billing, and related systems, enforcing data contracts and integration standards. - Establish governance for AI agent and LLM-powered workflows, including prompt versioning, agent identity, audit logging, observability, and alignment with privacy and compliance requirements. - Drive build-versus-buy evaluations and platform selection criteria for integration middleware, agent orchestration frameworks, and LLMOps tooling, aligned to long-term architectural goals. - Manage and develop a multi-functional business systems team, oversee vendor and contractor relationships, and champion documentation discipline, change management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years in enterprise architecture, business systems, or platform engineering roles with demonstrated ownership of multi-system environments at a public or compliance-regulated company. - Hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and governing AI agents or LLM-powered workflows in production, including prompt versioning, agent identity, and audit logging. - Deep expertise architecting Salesforce at scale, covering data model design, integration patterns, and access controls, plus strong working knowledge of NetSuite and Snowflake from architectural and operational standpoints. - Experience operating API gateway, secrets management, and identity-based access infrastructure that supports automated workflows or agent systems. - Working knowledge of SOX IT general controls and application controls, with recent experience producing control evidence in a public-company setting. - Proven track record leading multi-functional platform or business systems teams and designing integrations using event-driven, API-first, or middleware patterns.
Nice to have
- Proficiency with architecture and security frameworks for responsible AI usage, plus hands-on experience with iPaaS or middleware platforms such as Fivetran, Polytomic, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Celigo. - Experience developing master data management strategy, data governance frameworks, or analytics architecture and BI platforms such as Tableau. - Relevant Salesforce and NetSuite certifications, and prior work in public or large enterprise technology environments with formal compliance and audit programs.
