Backend Engineer (NestJS)

Role overview Develop and operate the backend services behind a large-scale language-learning product. The work covers APIs for learning content, learner progress, and payments, as well as AI tutoring and speech feedback services, with attention to performance as usage expands across markets.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain NestJS services for content, progress tracking, and payments. - Integrate AI tutoring and speech-feedback capabilities into the learning experience. - Maintain performance of MongoDB and Redis as product usage grows. - Automate deployments using cloud infrastructure and CI/CD workflows. - Write clear, maintainable code that teammates can work with.

Requirements - Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills; NestJS experience is preferred. - Experience with MongoDB or another document database. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure; Azure experience is preferred. - Ability to produce readable, maintainable code.
