About this role
Role overview Join a collaborative engineering team that sits at the intersection of development, operations, and architecture, building and operating reliable cloud platforms that help product teams ship safely. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will shape platform direction, solve complex technical problems, and turn ambiguous challenges into practical, scalable solutions while raising engineering standards through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities - Contribute to architectural decisions and pragmatic trade-offs across reliability, scalability, security, and cost. - Design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud platforms and services. - Strengthen automation, deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability, and overall operational efficiency. - Work with distributed software, event-driven architectures, and event streaming patterns. - Break complex initiatives into smaller workstreams and deliver value incrementally. - Investigate recurring incidents and create durable root-cause fixes. - Mentor less experienced engineers and foster collaboration, transparency, and shared responsibility.
Requirements - Several years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a closely related field. - Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure. - Professional experience with Go (Golang), ideally for automation, platform tooling, or backend services. - Solid understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and event streaming. - Proven background in infrastructure as code, continuous delivery, observability, security, and reliability practices. - Ability to make sound architectural decisions, explain trade-offs, and lead technical initiatives.
Nice to have - Comfort mentoring colleagues and supporting engineering growth. - An ownership mindset with a track record of continuous improvement.
Benefits and work setup - Family-friendly working hours with a generous home office policy and ergonomic on-site workstations. - Short decision-making paths, autonomous work, and an annual development budget. - Subsidies for company pension plans, mobility options (train ticket or parking), and discounted fitness memberships or an in-house fitness room. - Regular team events and tailored benefits that consider personal circumstances.
