Role overview
Lead a platform and DevOps engineering team responsible for both business-application delivery and the evolution of internal cloud infrastructure. The role combines people leadership, hands-on technical direction, delivery ownership, developer enablement, and operational excellence across AWS and Kubernetes environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team while fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe working environment. - Own delivery for one or more business applications, including roadmap execution, release planning, risk management, and production operations. - Establish and improve service-level indicators, objectives, on-call practices, incident response, and post-incident learning. - Operate and evolve Kubernetes environments across multi-availability-zone and multi-region architectures. - Develop GitOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, reusable templates, and self-service workflows that improve developer productivity. - Strengthen observability, security, scalability, resilience, and cloud-cost efficiency in partnership with Product, Design, Security, and Engineering stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience leading and developing engineers, together with 7 or more years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or a related field. - Experience delivering and operating business-critical applications in AWS. - Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EKS, EC2, VPC, S3, RDS or DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch. - Practical experience with Kubernetes, Helm, autoscaling, CI/CD, GitOps, and Terraform or AWS CDK. - Programming experience in Python, Java, TypeScript, or Node.js. - Familiarity with SRE practices, incident management, SLIs/SLOs, operational excellence, and cross-functional stakeholder communication.

- Experience with internal developer platforms, service meshes, policy engines, secrets management, platform governance, multi-region resilience, distributed tracing, synthetic monitoring, event-driven systems, compliance frameworks, or FinOps.
Benefits and work setup
- The listed U.S. base salary range is $148,000-$264,990, with actual offers varying by experience and location. Additional compensation may include bonuses, equity, and benefits.
