Senior Platform Engineer

Role overview

Own the platform foundations and backend capabilities that support a large, multi-platform digital wallet across extension, mobile, and desktop experiences. The role combines cloud infrastructure, production operations, SRE, backend feature development, observability, security, and developer experience. You will help maintain reliable services while improving delivery speed through automation and responsible use of AI-assisted engineering practices.

Responsibilities

- Plan and execute automated infrastructure deployments that provide a stable, scalable platform foundation. - Run day-to-day production operations, troubleshoot incidents, optimize workflows, and maintain high availability against service-level objectives. - Develop backend features shared across extension, mobile, and desktop products. - Work directly with users and developers, provide support, gather feedback, and use it to inform platform and product priorities. - Strengthen team practices and hiring standards while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. - Establish AI-assisted workflows for coding, reviews, debugging, testing, and incident response; maintain related tooling, prompts, guardrails, and impact metrics.

Requirements

- Deep experience building and operating on cloud platforms such as AWS and Cloudflare. - Production experience with Kubernetes and related technologies, including Istio and Helm. - Expertise in infrastructure configuration management, such as Terraform and Atlantis. - Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD. - Familiarity with production observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, and OpenTelemetry. - Hands-on Go development involving networking, HTTP, or gRPC, plus strong SRE, incident-management, and on-call experience.

Nice to have

- Experience applying AI coding assistants, AI-supported review or testing, and prompt or guardrail patterns in engineering workflows. - Strong practical knowledge of cloud and Kubernetes security controls.
