Software Engineer, Front End

Role overview Own the development of partner-facing web products that help financial services providers offer investment accounts to their customers. As the lead frontend engineer, you will shape product decisions alongside design, product, and backend teammates, and carry work from early design through release. The role spans a co-branded onboarding experience, account management tools, self-service workflows, and an API migration.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain an embeddable onboarding flow for individual and business brokerage accounts, including participant details and identity or compliance steps. - Develop a partner dashboard for viewing account positions, statements, reports, account details, and settings. - Create self-service capabilities that let partners update business information and manage account participants. - Rework business account flows to use a new API and data model in coordination with backend engineers. - Keep two frontend codebases reliable, including aligning dependencies and managing releases from preview through user acceptance and production. - Collaborate on API contracts and turn designs and product needs into usable, production-ready features.

Requirements - At least four years building production web applications with React and TypeScript. - Experience creating complex multi-step forms and data-heavy interfaces, including validation, edge cases, and error handling. - Ability to work across frontend and a Node.js server layer, with experience relevant to Koa, gRPC, and PostgreSQL. - Skill in collaborating with product, design, and backend engineering, and advocating for APIs that support effective user experiences. - Independent, product-minded working style, with comfort making progress amid ambiguity and taking on adjacent work when needed.

Nice to have - Experience in fintech, brokerage, or banking, especially customer onboarding with identity or compliance checks. - Background building white-label or embeddable business-to-business products. - Experience with financial integrations such as Plaid or Persona, or with electronic signature tools. - Familiarity with AI-assisted software development.
