Senior Drupal Developer

Role overview

A senior Drupal development role focused on architecting and maintaining secure, high-performing web applications for federal and government clients. The position is fully remote and requires a U.S.-based candidate with an active security clearance, combining full-stack Drupal engineering with strict accessibility, security, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

- Architect, build, and maintain enterprise Drupal solutions using custom PHP modules, Twig templating, and modern front-end frameworks. - Enforce Drupal security best practices, perform site hardening, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility guidelines. - Implement advanced caching strategies, query optimizations, and CDN configurations to maximize site speed, reliability, and scalability. - Integrate third-party APIs, web services, and backend databases with Drupal applications. - Conduct peer code reviews, create technical documentation, and debug complex full-stack issues across development, test, and production environments.

Requirements

- U.S. citizenship with an active Public Trust or active DoD security clearance, or eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance. - Active DoD 8570.01-M / 8140 IAT Level II certification such as Security+ CE, CySA+, or CCNA Security. - A minimum of five years of verifiable, hands-on full-stack Drupal development experience. - Documented mastery of custom Drupal module and theme development. - Deep understanding of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and the audit remediation process. - Proven track record in Drupal caching architecture and performance optimization, plus familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern web development workflows.
