Senior Data Analyst

Role overview A senior data analyst position within a financial innovation platform that delivers credit, identity monitoring, privacy protection, and financial advertising products to digital brands, financial institutions, and fintechs through embeddable widgets and APIs. The role partners with engineering and product leaders to translate holistic business strategy into technical execution, reporting directly to the CEO. Day-to-day work centers on diagnosing data and pipeline issues, improving system reliability, and using AI tools to accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities - Trace issues through data pipelines and code to identify why systems are not behaving as expected - Write clear, concise Jira tickets explaining what was found, how it was fixed, and how to prevent similar issues - Partner with engineers and product managers to make data and code more reliable, faster, and easier to understand - Help build a culture of technical curiosity where asking "why" and testing assumptions is part of every release - Leverage AI tools to think, build, and ship faster

Requirements - Curiosity about how systems, code, and data interact, with a knack for pulling things apart to see what is really happening under the hood - Strong SQL skills, Python familiarity, and experience digging into JSON, logs, or API outputs to validate what is flowing through the system - Comfort reading and reasoning about unfamiliar code, including spotting where things might be slowing down - Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear next steps through rigorous root-cause analysis - A mindset that values being less wrong each time and continuously improving analytical rigor - Analytical skills to develop data-driven insights that improve user experience and drive conversion rates
