About this role
Role overview This remote position centers on extending Zero Trust enforcement consistently across cloud and on-premises environments for federal government customers. The architect designs secure hybrid architectures, aligns cloud-native controls with enterprise policy models, and ensures compliance with FedRAMP and federal cloud security frameworks while supporting automated posture validation and secure workload deployment.
Responsibilities - Lead the design of comprehensive Zero Trust solutions that span users, applications, and infrastructure - Architect secure hybrid environments integrating segmentation, identity-based access, workload isolation, and secure API communication - Build, configure, and operate SecDevOps infrastructure across AWS and multi-cloud platforms using containerization and Kubernetes - Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, GitLab) and orchestrate staged deployments from Development through Production - Develop and script security-embedded build environments, including Linux and shell scripting - Document security, configuration management, source control, release, and build procedures; coordinate scans, builds, and deployments
Requirements - U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a government-issued background investigation - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management, or a related field - 10+ years of software development experience, including 7+ years spanning development and technical operations - Deep knowledge of identity, authentication, SSO, endpoints, networks, security analytics, SIEM, SOAR, and threat intelligence - Production experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, Docker, ECS, EKS, ECR, and Fargate - Hands-on expertise with AWS and other cloud services, plus Kubernetes (CNCF-compliant) and Docker (OCI-compliant) containerization
Nice to have - Prior GovCon experience - Prior technical lead experience - Familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and npm, plus automation with GitHub Actions
