A senior Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) subject matter expert position focused on applying digital engineering techniques across a diverse portfolio of advanced technical domains. The role centers on remote collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to produce model-based requirements, interface definitions, and design specifications using industry-standard SysML/UML modeling tools. It suits a self-directed systems engineer who thrives in performance-driven, autonomous work environments and enjoys tackling unfamiliar problem spaces.

Responsibilities

- Lead MBSE efforts across multiple domains including space systems, electric vehicles, combat vehicles, tactical communications, and command and control programs - Develop and maintain SysML/UML artifacts such as use cases, activity models, interface definitions, and supporting design specifications - Rapidly come up to speed on new technologies and collaborate effectively with domain SMEs, peers, managers, and customer stakeholders - Operate at the expert level with system modeling tools and work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision - Partner within a team environment to deliver high-quality, model-based requirements and documentation that meet program objectives

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 8-10 years, or PhD with 5-7 years in a related discipline - Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: NoMagic MagicDraw, Cameo, SysML, UPDM, or IBM Rhapsody - Strong systems engineering foundation with demonstrated SysML/UML modeling capabilities - Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance - Excellent interpersonal skills and the self-confidence to contribute within a highly technical engineering team
