Senior Software Engineer

Role overview A Senior Software Engineer is needed to design, develop, test, and integrate applications using C++ on Linux, React, Python, and MariaDB within an agile team supporting a federal government contract. The position combines individual design and implementation work with active collaboration across functional teams. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance within one year of employment is required.

Responsibilities - Develop and modify applications using C++ on Linux, React, Python, and MariaDB in a collaborative team environment - Design, develop, evaluate, and test system and software integration - Interpret, assess, and support development and maintenance of requirements and software designs - Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback for resolution - Design and implement within an agile team environment with minimal direction - Communicate regularly with functional team leads to ensure effective work partnerships

Requirements - Bachelor's with 5-7 years, Master's with 3-5 years, or PhD with 0-2 years in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field, plus 10+ years of software development experience - Hands-on experience with C++ on Linux, React, HTML, CSS, and JSON - Solid command of object-oriented software development and automated testing - Experience developing under Linux-based systems and with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL/MariaDB - Familiarity with common IDEs (Eclipse, VS Code) and tools such as Bamboo, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket - Experience with multiple network protocols, data transfer methods, and network debugging techniques - Strong problem-solving, automated testing, and debugging capabilities; effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance within one year of employment
