Software Engineer- On Call

Role overview A software engineering role supporting development, integration, and on-call coverage for applications running across Linux and Windows environments. Work is performed within an Agile Scrum setting, following defined software engineering standards and contributing to the full lifecycle from modification through integration testing and delivery.

Responsibilities - Understand and modify applications using technologies such as Linux, Windows, C++, React, CSS, and Python. - Create and update software and test documentation, including test plans and procedures. - Support development, evaluation, system and software integration, and testing activities. - Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure on-time, high-quality software deliveries. - Operate within an Agile Scrum framework, applying common engineering tools and standards.

Requirements - High school education plus five to six years of relevant experience. - Actively pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. - Object-oriented programming experience in C++. - Familiarity with integrated development environments such as Eclipse, and tools including Jira, Bamboo, and Git. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with effective written and verbal communication. - Ability to thrive in both independent and team-based coding environments with mentor support.

Nice to have - Experience developing under UNIX- or Linux-based systems. - Background in web development and databases.
