Software Engineer - Python Junior+ [Risks Scoring]

Role overview The Risks Scoring team owns the automated decision-making behind every product of a digital lending company, integrating data from multiple sources and serving real-time credit decisions under strict SLAs across credit cards, cash loans, POS lending, and debit products in several countries. As a Junior+ Python engineer, you will help implement scoring features, policy rules, and strategies while maintaining a high-load Python service.

Responsibilities - Implement scoring features, policy rules, and strategies that drive real-time client decisions in production. - Maintain and extend an existing high-load Python service and its data contracts. - Ensure quality through comprehensive test coverage and validation against real production traffic before release. - Respond rapidly to incidents by tracing decisions through logs and restoring correct behaviour quickly.

Requirements - 1+ year of Python experience, whether from internships, personal projects, or commercial work. - Solid Python fundamentals: OOP, dataclasses, the standard library, type hints, and static type checking. - Basic experience with pydantic for model declaration and data validation. - Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts. - Practical pytest experience covering unit and integration tests, parametrized cases, and mocking. - Comfortable with Git and team-based branch or merge request workflows, plus basic SQL. - B1 or higher English for working with an international team.

Nice to have - gRPC and Protobuf experience. - Kubernetes and Helm knowledge. - CI/CD pipeline experience, ideally with GitLab CI. - Kafka, Pub/Sub, or other message brokers and event-driven patterns. - Interest in MLOps and an understanding of how ML models reach and stay in production.
