Project Management AI Research Contributor

Role overview Use your project management experience to create realistic Excel assignments that reveal where AI tools succeed or fail at practical project work. You’ll build and solve each task yourself, then define clear pass-or-fail criteria so attempts can be evaluated consistently. The engagement is a short-term, remote independent contractor project, with work assigned on a task basis.

Responsibilities - Create Excel tasks based on project budgets, schedules, trackers, and other work you know firsthand. - Design assignments that involve extending a model, repairing a broken workbook, or building from a written brief. - Complete each task yourself and provide a correct, demonstrable solution. - Write precise yes-or-no grading criteria for evaluating model responses. - Work with a reviewer to refine and approve task proposals.

Requirements - At least three years in project, programme, or PMO work in fields such as construction, infrastructure, IT, transformation, or capital projects. - Advanced practical Excel skills, including project budgets, earned value, nested formulas, conditional formatting, and debugging. - Strong written English and careful attention to detail. - Interest in learning about AI evaluation methods. - Ability to create original briefs and human-built input workbooks using sanitized real data or sourced public data; AI tools may not be used to create these onboarding materials.

Benefits and work setup - Fully remote work on a flexible schedule, with an estimated duration of four to six weeks and an immediate start. - Task-based compensation, paid weekly after task completion. Completing an initial task within the required timeline may qualify you for additional assignments. - The project does not require confidential or proprietary employer, client, or institutional information. Onboarding and task approval do not guarantee selection; extensions or early completion depend on project needs and performance.
