Role overview
A senior fullstack engineering role focused on building and scaling workflow automation and custom field products used by thousands of organizations. The position sits inside a self-organizing, cross-functional product team that owns the full lifecycle from ideation through release and maintenance. The work centers on TypeScript and Node.js services with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and web applications primarily in TypeScript and Node.js, applying Effect-TS patterns where they fit. - Establish and follow engineering best practices including automated testing, code review, pair programming, and shared ownership of production systems. - Automate cloud infrastructure and configuration management to support scalability, cost efficiency, and operational reliability. - Collaborate closely with product managers, team leads, marketers, and support engineers to shape product direction and respond to customer feedback. - Mentor teammates, contribute to a healthy engineering culture, and champion process and product improvements across the team. - Participate in customer-facing feedback loops with the support team to inform design, UX, and performance decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years delivering multiple scalable, high-traffic cloud applications in production. - Strong proficiency in full-stack JavaScript or TypeScript; familiarity with Effect.js and Express.js is highly valued. - Solid computer science foundations including algorithms, computational complexity, and object-oriented design. - Practical experience designing and implementing modern cloud architectures on a real product. - Deep understanding of web application architecture, including performance, quality, and security trade-offs. - Product-oriented mindset with a willingness to influence roadmap and design decisions. - B2-level English or higher, plus a demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers.
Nice to have
- Experience building applications on the Atlassian Forge platform. - Working knowledge of Jira or Jira Service Management. - Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or comparable model-based coding assistants.
