Thai Language Transcription Expert

Role overview An independent contractor opportunity contributing to an AI speech recognition training initiative by producing high-quality verbatim transcripts of Thai-language audio. The role is fully remote with flexible scheduling and is ideal for native Thai speakers with strong listening skills and an eye for linguistic detail.

Responsibilities - Listen to audio recordings and produce verbatim transcripts that capture stutters, repeated words, filler sounds, and trailing sentences - Apply precise timestamps with less than 500 milliseconds of deviation from the source audio - Label speakers for conversations involving 2 to 8 participants - Annotate non-speech events such as laughter, background noise, and unintelligible audio - Use browser-based transcription tools, with training provided, to check and refine audio segmentation - Maintain a transcript accuracy target of 98% or higher

Requirements - Native-level fluency in Thai, including familiarity with regional accents and informal speech - Strong listening comprehension and consistent attention to detail - Demonstrated ability to produce verbatim transcriptions that preserve disfluencies and filler words - Reliable internet connection and access to a laptop or desktop computer (mobile devices are not supported) - Comfort working in browser-based tools - Minimum availability of 10+ hours per week
