About this role
Role overview An independent contractor opportunity supporting an AI speech recognition training project by producing high-quality verbatim transcripts of audio recordings. The role is fully remote with flexible scheduling and is well suited for detail-oriented Hebrew speakers seeking scalable, project-based work.
Responsibilities - Listen to audio recordings and produce verbatim transcripts that capture stutters, repeated words, filler sounds, and trailing sentences - Apply precise segment timestamps with less than 500 milliseconds of deviation from the source audio - Label speakers for conversations involving between 2 and 8 participants - Annotate non-speech events such as laughter, background noise, and unintelligible audio - Use browser-based transcription tools, with training provided, to check and refine audio segmentation - Maintain a transcript accuracy target of 98% or higher across assigned audio
Requirements - Native-level fluency in Hebrew, including familiarity with regional accents and informal speech - Strong listening comprehension and consistent attention to detail - Demonstrated ability to produce verbatim transcriptions that preserve disfluencies and filler words - Reliable internet connection and access to a laptop or desktop computer (mobile devices are not supported) - Comfort working in browser-based tools - Minimum availability of 10+ hours per week
