About this role

Role overview An engineering manager is needed to lead one of the largest and most visible engineering teams responsible for the daily surface where revenue professionals prospect, manage accounts and contacts, track tasks, view dashboards, and run the workflows that convert pipeline into closed deals. The team is undergoing its most ambitious transformation yet, evolving from a tool reps open into a system that recommends what to do next through account prioritization, task orchestration, and AI-driven guidance. The role blends people leadership with hands-on technical direction to ship quickly without disrupting workflows that enterprise customers depend on every day.

Responsibilities - Define and hold the team to goals, expectations, and a culture of excellence, learning, and fun - Partner closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to deliver high-quality software at pace for a growing user base - Join customer calls alongside the go-to-market team, acting as a domain expert on the team's surface rather than a passthrough - Drive hiring, onboarding, and ongoing growth of senior and staff-level engineers - Participate in sprint planning, software design, and occasional code reviews while owning sizing, estimation, and technical direction - Make on-call responsibility sustainable so it does not crowd out roadmap work

Requirements - Eight or more years of hands-on software engineering experience - Three to five years managing engineers, preferably senior engineers and managers - Deep technical understanding of engineering systems, especially those related to data - Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, and Looker - Background in sales technology

Nice to have - Familiarity with React, Redux, and Next.js on the front end; Ruby, Python, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis on the backend; and Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform for infrastructure

Benefits and work setup - Remote-first company that relies heavily on written documentation to scale - Tier 1 pay range (San Francisco, New York City, Seattle): $259,200 to $324,000 USD; Tier 2 pay range (other US locations): $225,400 to $281,000 USD, with annualized salary ranges for non-US locations available on request during the interview process - Benefits may include equity, company or sales bonus, 401(k), at least ten paid holidays, flexible PTO, parental leave, an employee assistance program, global travel coverage, life/AD&D/STD/LTD insurance, FSA/HSA, and medical, dental, and vision coverage
