Role overview The Business Intelligence Analyst bridges business stakeholders and data, translating complex requirements into scalable dashboards and reporting solutions. The role is dual-cloud by design, working across AWS QuickSight and Microsoft Power BI to deliver analytics that support strategic decisions. It suits someone who enjoys both stakeholder-facing requirement work and hands-on dashboard engineering.
Responsibilities - Lead requirement-gathering workshops with cross-functional stakeholders and executives - Translate business questions into detailed technical specifications, KPIs, and metric definitions - Design and build interactive dashboards in Power BI and QuickSight with row-level security and optimized data models - Validate data accuracy, document data lineage, and maintain metadata within a governance platform - Train end users on dashboard navigation and insight interpretation - Partner with data engineers to refine pipelines and underlying data structures
Requirements - 3+ years of experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role - Advanced Power BI skills including DAX, Power Query, and premium capacity management - Deep expertise in AWS QuickSight, including SPICE ingestion and calculated fields - Strong SQL skills for complex queries, joins, and aggregations - Solid grasp of data modeling concepts such as star and snowflake schemas - Strong communication and analytical thinking skills
Nice to have - AWS or Microsoft certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or PL-300 - Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery
