Role overview A senior security engineer is needed to design and build defensive controls that protect infrastructure supporting advanced defense technology products. The role spans cloud, production, and corporate environments, sitting at the intersection of infrastructure, application, and operational security. It is a hands-on engineering position with autonomy over projects and direct influence on how systems are protected at scale.
Responsibilities - Design and implement security controls across cloud, production, and corporate infrastructure layers. - Develop internal tools and systems that improve overall security posture and operational efficiency. - Conduct security architecture and design reviews for systems and custom business applications. - Build automation to detect, monitor, and remediate security issues across the environment. - Operate across infrastructure, application, and operational security domains, partnering with adjacent teams. - Participate in or support incident response events as they arise.
Requirements - Strong programming ability in one or more general-purpose languages such as Python, Go, or Rust. - Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code languages like Terraform or AWS CDK in a production setting. - Demonstrated experience conducting security architecture or design reviews for custom business applications. - Solid understanding of modern attack vectors and the defensive mitigations that address them. - Experience with major cloud platforms and deploying applications through CI/CD pipelines. - Experience developing and implementing defensive controls around endpoint and SaaS applications. - Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and collaborate effectively across teams. - Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
Nice to have - Experience building bespoke solutions in high-growth, high-complexity environments. - Familiarity with log aggregation, secrets management, or endpoint security tooling. - Working knowledge of security ecosystems and tooling within AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Strong experience with Linux operating systems.
