Product Development Engineer - Bottles

Role overview
Lead the technical development of new bottle products from early concept through manufacturing implementation and commercial launch. This role coordinates multidisciplinary contributors, shapes product and tooling design, and ensures that development projects meet agreed scope, timing, cost, quality, and production objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional development teams covering customers, sales, design, project management, research, manufacturing, engineering support, quality, and product management. - Own execution of project plans, driving decisions and escalating deviations in timing, cost, or deliverables to senior leadership. - Oversee product and tooling design, including ideation, competitive review, design requirements, DFMEA, and design reviews. - Coordinate technical development plans, including cost inputs, capital requirements, and evaluation of manufacturing technologies. - Establish critical-to-quality measures with quality teams and confirm that process capability is validated. - Maintain technical communication with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with applicable procedures, change controls, stage gates, and ISO processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience. - Relevant experience in bottle product development and manufacturing. - Experience with multiple bottle processes such as extrusion blow molding, stretch blow molding, and reheat blow molding. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge of statistical methods and tools such as SPC, DOE, or Minitab. - Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, work proactively, and travel as needed.

- Previous project management experience. - Strong organizational skills demonstrated through delivery of multiple concurrent assignments.
