Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior individual contributor role responsible for defining and advancing enterprise Product Operations standards that enable consistent planning, portfolio visibility, and data-informed decision-making across product and engineering organizations. Operating with substantial autonomy, the role develops portfolio methods, metrics, and data standards where established baselines do not yet exist. Success depends on cross-functional influence rather than direct authority, translating complex operating data into scalable practices that support engineering, finance, product marketing, customer experience, and sales partners.
Responsibilities - Design and maintain portfolio methods, procedures, templates, lifecycle states, and readiness criteria that enable consistent execution across cross-functional teams. - Reinforce an enterprise planning tool as a reliable source of truth by defining required fields, data quality standards, reporting-readiness criteria, and backlog hygiene expectations. - Build portfolio measurement frameworks that define core metrics, set baselines, and produce reporting approaches for planning completeness, delivery performance, and operational effectiveness. - Lead or support quarterly portfolio planning by coordinating cross-team inputs, evaluating dependencies, and improving the quality of information used for prioritization decisions. - Develop cross-functional operating contracts that translate portfolio information into reliable inputs for finance, product marketing, customer experience, sales, and engineering. - Analyze portfolio performance and operational health to identify systemic risks, gaps, trends, and opportunities requiring changes to portfolio practices.
Requirements - Several years of progressive experience in product operations, program management, or a related discipline within SaaS or a comparable technology environment. - Proven track record partnering with finance, product marketing, customer experience, sales, or similar functions to establish cross-functional planning inputs. - Experience developing portfolio measurement frameworks, KPI definitions, baselines, executive dashboards, or portfolio analytics. - Demonstrated success leading organizational adoption or process improvement initiatives across teams without direct reporting authority. - Familiarity with financial modeling, capacity planning, or strategic investment planning is welcomed.
Benefits and work setup - Salary range of $132,000 to $165,000. Remote-first arrangement within the US, with unlimited paid time off and a 401(k) employer match among other benefits.
