About this role
Role overview
Lead and grow a software engineering team building systems for automated aerial inspection. You will develop engineers, shape how the team works as it expands, and help turn technical direction into plans the team can deliver while retaining autonomy and pace.
Responsibilities
- Coach engineers through regular one-to-ones, feedback, and performance development; support overall team health. - Lead hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning as the team grows from 12 toward 15 or more people. - Improve engineering processes, tools, and collaboration without adding unnecessary overhead; identify and remove delivery blockers. - Work with technical leaders to set engineering strategy and translate decisions into practical execution plans. - Clarify ownership across technical areas and partner with Product on prioritization, planning, and delivery. - Help strengthen the engineering culture and contribute to the Stockholm office community.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing software engineers; experience in a growing international company is useful. - Technical background, ideally including work as a software engineer. - Experience scaling teams and introducing useful structure while keeping teams agile. - Strong coaching, listening, and communication skills, with the judgment to make clear decisions and involve those closest to the work. - Ability to guide complex technical initiatives from direction through implementation with a pragmatic, business-aware approach. - Professional fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English.
Nice to have
- Current or recent hands-on coding experience is beneficial, though leadership, technical judgment, and enabling others are the priority.
