Role overview A senior pre-sales role focused on helping electric utilities adopt a grid resilience and vegetation management platform. The position blends consultative selling, technical solution design, and storytelling, acting as a trusted advisor to strategic prospects and existing customers. Work centers on translating complex operational challenges into clear narratives and tailored demonstrations that drive both new business and product direction.
Responsibilities - Lead discovery conversations with utility prospects to surface business goals, pain points, and ROI drivers, then shape compelling narratives around the platform's value - Architect solutions that show how the platform integrates with mission-critical utility applications, including building tailored demos with low-code tools - Develop customer-facing materials such as slide decks, demo flows, and business cases that align with the product roadmap - Coordinate cross-functional teams to produce polished proposals and drive deals to close - Serve as a technical expert during customer evaluations, addressing questions about platform capabilities and competitive positioning - Feed customer insights back to Product to shape future roadmap decisions and stay current on industry and competitor trends
Requirements - 8+ years of work experience, including time in a technical domain - At least 2 years in a customer-facing pre-sales, consulting, or similar role - Strong technical skills sufficient for configuring demos with low or no-code tools and leading architecture-level discussions - Proven ability to craft and deliver compelling narratives to both executive and frontline audiences - Detail-oriented project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives - Self-motivated, curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
