Job details
About this role
Role overview Assess how AI models handle infrastructure and platform engineering problems using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. The work centers on realistic cloud and distributed-systems scenarios, evaluating architectural choices, performance, deployment behavior, and reliability while recording shortcomings in model reasoning.
Responsibilities - Work through infrastructure and platform engineering tasks with models in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. - Evaluate cloud designs, Infrastructure-as-Code abstractions, deployment workflows, and environment isolation. - Check architectural soundness, state management, logical correctness, and code quality. - Assess testing strategies, performance bottlenecks, scalability limits, and deployment risks. - Capture reproducible failure cases and recommend improvements to prompts and evaluation measures.
Requirements - Practical experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure or platform engineering, DevOps, performance analysis, or quality assurance. - Strong systems-level understanding of distributed software and infrastructure architecture. - Fluency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python for evaluating technical scenarios. - Clear written communication, including the ability to explain system-level reasoning and tradeoffs. - A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Benefits and work setup - Remote contract work, with a stated pay range of $80–$150 per hour; the final rate depends on experience, expertise, and location. - Contractors provide their own secure computer and high-speed internet.
